Core Message & Elevator Pitch

Core message: Remote Rural. Real Solutions. Put kids first. Fund classrooms.

Elevator pitch (45–60 sec):
Peace River isn’t just rural. It is remote rural.
Distances are longer, winters are tougher, and staffing is harder.

I’m a professional engineer, a dad, and a trustee who builds remote - ready solutions: more dollars into classrooms, a Remote Rural Allowance to keep great teachers, safe and reliable busing with winter plans, tele‑supports for special needs, and community learning hubs backed by dependable internet. I speak plainly, publish results, and keep the focus on kids - not politics.

Top 3 proof points:

  1. Pushed for leaner administration so more money reaches classrooms.

  2. Advocated a $25,000 Remote Rural Allowance to attract and retain teachers.

  3. Backer fair pay and respect for support staff and bus drivers who make remote schools run.

Values: Respect • Transparency • Fiscal discipline • Student success • Safe, connected schools

Trust & transparency

“On June 11, 2025, the Court of King’s Bench ruled the Board erred in law and my disqualification was disproportionate. I was reinstated.”

Plain‑Language Q&A

  • Yes. The Board passed a speech sanction that ran to October 2025 and later voted to disqualify me over a dispute about remedial steps. I completed training and submitted an apology letter for one motion. I asked for a meeting to apologize for the second, and was told it needed another Board motion. I sought clarity in law. Through it all, I kept working on student issues. My focus remains kids, not politics.

  • I will meet early, document everything, and keep the focus on outcomes for students. I will work with every trustee, even when we disagree.

  • Judge me by a simple test: Will this decision help students learn, help staff succeed, and respect taxpayers? If yes, I vote yes. If not, I fight it.
